Sport and a healthy lifestyle are inextricably linked with each other, because physical fitness is the basis for a successful career and fruitful work. That is why we pay great attention to support sports clubs and the organization of mass sporting events at the University.
Sports are in a modern sports complex. Due to а great variety of sports groups, everybody can choose оnе to higher liking: football, basketball volleyball, hockey, swimming and more.
With around 50 different types of sport, Uni Sport offers University members the opportunity to take part in sport on campus.
As a key and fundamental element of university life, it brings together people from all departments, institutes, and institutions. Not only fitness, health, and well-being are in the focus but also the chance to make social contacts and promote integration in an informal university atmosphere.
Annually our sportsmen-students participate in more than 100 various competitions. In many sports they become champions of the Ministry of Public Health and Social Development of Russia, win medal places.
In 1971 on the Volga bank near Konakovo town sports and health camp “Konakovo” was built, where 200 students and university employees саn enjoy themselves during winter and summer free-time. There is а well- equipped beach, gym, sports grounds for playing foot- ball, basketball, volleyball, tennis at their disposal. The cost is not very high and it is partially paid by students and employees trade unions. Student leisure time can contribute to their health improvement.

The range at our sports center is extensive, ensuring that you can participate in sports and activities that you’re already passionate about, or take up something new and exciting. We offer sports and activities in six main categories: racket sports, body and mind, fitness, dance, mountain sports and water sports (as well as activities such as archery and skating).
