Clinical Psychology in the Health Care System

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor’s degree is required for applicants.

Introductory Tests:

Applicants have pass a test to demonstrate their understanding of psychology (Bachelor level).

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Students in the program master clinical psychology with the support of skilled lecturers at the leading Moscow clinics. They learn how to establish conditions for mental development to harmonize, how to overcome difficult life situations, how to build individual adaptive ability and stress resistance, how to mobilize mental resources, and much more.

Graduates of the master’s degree gain psychodiagnostics, psychotechnics, and psychocorrection abilities in the context of individual and group counseling and psychotherapy in the health-care system.

  CAREER PROSPECTS

 The graduate can work in a variety of fields both in Russia and abroad, including:

  • in medical institutions (polyclinics, hospitals, sanatoriums, psychological services and rehabilitation centers with various forms of ownership);
  • in institutions providing emergency assistance (MES, crisis centers, helpline);
  • in institutions of social protection (expert centers, family services, etc.);
  • in law enforcement;
  • in universities, schools, kindergartens…

Graduates of the magistracy can also conduct scientific research or study in the PhD school.
